A Colorful Outdoor Wedding at Horning’s Hideout
Nora and Grant celebrated their wedding at the stunning Horning’s Hideout in North Plains, Oregon, and it was truly a day that embodied the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Just 35 minutes west of Portland, this private park is one of Oregon’s premier outdoor wedding venues, complete with lakeside ceremony spots, wooded camping areas, and a peaceful canyon setting.
Nora and Grant’s day was filled with unique and personal touches. Nora opted for a cape instead of a veil and completed her bridal look with a floral crown. She and her bridesmaids got ready in a charming little shack right next to the ceremony site, keeping the morning both cozy and relaxed.
Their lakeside ceremony was breathtaking—set in front of a small waterfall with towering evergreens as their backdrop. Before guests arrived, Nora and Grant shared a first look and private vow exchange in the wooded area nearby, then took a quiet walk together to admire their ceremony and reception setup.
The reception was held on the grassy lawn by the lake, where colorful streamers hung over the tables, creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere. As the sun began to set, the trees cast the perfect shade over their guests, making the evening feel even more intimate. One of the highlights of the afternoon? The bride herself jumped in and through the frisbee around in her wedding dress—a perfect nod to the fun and playful spirit of the day.
And as if the celebration couldn’t get any more unforgettable, the night ended with live music that blew everyone away. Nora took the stage alongside her dad’s band, with her father on guitar and her new husband playing as well. Together, they performed a heartfelt song for their guests, with Nora singing lead. This unique live music wedding moment had the entire crowd on their feet—the dance floor was packed, the air was filled with laughter, and the night turned into a concert-style celebration. It was the perfect way to thank their guests and end the evening on a high note.
